چکیده

This paper develops a model for automated matching of vehicles between aerial photos. We exploit the overlap from frame-to-frame in a sequence of aerial photos. The problem, in essence, is to determine if vehicles A, B, C, . . . in one photo, match vehicles X, Y, and Z in a temporally lagged second photo. The method is specifically applied to large trucks (tractor–trailer combinations). If a match can be established, the trucks can be joined to form trajectories. The need for an automated algorithm is pressing in view of the likely stream of data from various new aerial platforms (video, tethered balloons, unmanned airborne data collection systems) and the development of tools to automate the extraction of trucks from these images. In the first step, manual air photo interpretation is used to determine the exact match of the real trucks. Digitized points in the images represent observations of unique trucks, each of which is seen a number of times. A distance matrix is computed between all pairs of points (trucks) on the network. Then, a linear program is used to select matching trucks. A total of 10 pairs of photos incorporating 85 potential matches are described. Reasonable results are found, especially for implied speed estimates, which can be compared to the actual speeds from the true matches. Challenges for future extensions to more complex situations are explained. 2004 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. 0968-090X/$ see front matter 2004 Elsevier Ltd. Numerical Approach Toward Calculation of Vibration Characteristics of the Multi Axles Truck Using Lagrange Method

Initially, the first aim of the present study is to model 3-axle rigid truck by developing a code in Matlab. Secondly, each equation should be drived by acquisition of Lagrange approach. After deriving equations successfully, validation is performed by some result which was mentioned in Bohao Li's master thesis. Although the present approach is totally different from the approach that Boahao Li...

Study of Vibration Specifications of a Three-axle Truck Using Lagrange Method

In this research, Ride quality of a three-axle truck is investigated to understand its vibration specifications and influence of it on special load. The truck is Benz 2624, and the load is rather sensitive to vibrations. The system is considered for an off-road duty. Hence, the vehicle is modeled as a nineteen-degree of freedom system and its equations of motion are derived by employing Lagrang...

A Multi-Objective Programming to Increase Labor Efficiency of a Truck Hub: A Case Study

The problem of staff scheduling at a truck hub for loading and stripping of the trucks is an important and difficult problem to optimize the labor efficiency and cost. The trucks enter the hub at different hours a day, in different known time schedules and operating hours. In this paper, we propose a goal programming to maximize the labor efficiency via minimizing the allocation cost. The propo...

Multi-Temporal Assessment of Mangrove Forests Change in the Coastal Areas of Bushehr Region Based on Landsat Satellite Imagery

Continual access to precise information about the land use/land cover (LULC) changes of the Earth’s surface is extremely important for any sustainable development program in which LULC serves as one of the major input criteria. In this study, a supervised classification was applied to three Landsat images collected in 1986, 1998and 2018, providing mangrove forests change data in the coastal are...
